We bought this book as we are a family of Telugu descent growing up in the United States, and wanted to find a way to teach our daughter the language and culture of origin. She has been previously familiar with the “Chandamama Raave” nursery rhyme through Infobells YouTube videos but this a way for her to be engaged in reading. She loves flipping through the pages and seeing the beautiful, colorful pictures. I also appreciate that the book has both the Telugu script, English transliterated script, and on the last page the English translation for each line. Overall this is a wealth of usefulness in a simple design. I am sure that our daughter will love this for a long time, and looking forward to seeing more books like this!
Our 18 month old daughter absolutely loves Chitti Chilakammaa! This book has the most adorable illustrations and it’s so fun being able to incorporate Telugu in the books we read to her to keep her Indian culture part of our daily lives.
Maa chinna babu ki istamaina pusthakam idhi. Great for gifting and also bed time stories for toddlers .
Love the books so much!! All four books are exactly what we’ve been looking for and needing in order to build a strong Telugu foundation for our 1.5 year old. As a Telugu learner myself (US born mom, native English speaker), I was thrilled to see that it’s also transliterated. This makes it easy for me to read to my child even when my Telugu-husband is away at work! Also—the illustrations are so cute and the quality is excellent! I am SO happy with these books! My daughter is already speaking more Telugu than she was before the books arrived! 😃
Love this book! Cute illustrations and a great way to learn Telugu. Would highly recommend!
Great magnet set! Has all the consonants & vowels! The white board is the only of its kind I’ve seen- it folds in half and works very well for a variety of potential letter activities. The included marker and eraser is also great!
So I always knew these songs growing up, but I can’t believe that I was able to find actual Telugu translations and books for my toddler and baby. It also helped me improve my Telugu pronunciation lol.
Cute and short forbeginners
Beautiful books that take me back to my childhood. These books are beautifully illustrated and very compact. My son loves them!
The book is lovely and we’re excited to share it with our son once he gets here! The shipping was also very quick and customer service was very communicative about any delays (mostly since I ordered this on preorder with the other book).
My granddaughter loves Bhalu Books
Books are simple
She loves to look at them again and again
I really love this. I have been looking for something like this for a while. The quality is great. The letters are light weight and easy to handle for small hands. If I could suggest, if there were letters with pictures that would also be amazing!
We loved the magnetic alphabets along with the board. Can't wait for my grandson to start learning these
One of the best number books in Telugu
My toddler enjoys reading and hearing the Telugu wordings
This book is such a great resource for incorporating Telugu into our day to day life. And, as always, love having the transliteration to help our non-Telugu speaking family be involved!
This book quickly became a favorite at our house! It’s such a bright and colorful book, and our 3 year old has picked up the phrases so quickly!
We love this brand new story to add to our bookshelves! The story is unique, which has made it a great tool for learning a more varied vocabulary. (Also love the mixed-family representation! 🙂)
Great illustrations. Love the idea of English pronunciation. I would suggest tweaking the English pronunciation to fit exactly to the Telugu pronunciation. So even those who don’t know Telugu can read it

Being a teacher with Manabadi for years,Ican proudly say that this is the resource we are looking for. My toddler's face lights up when he sees the books and his bedtime story time ends with "chandimama yaave" 😁that's what he fondly calls for "chandimama raave". Thank you Madhurima and team for bringing us these !! Keep growing ! Loads of love from little Shiva ❤️
They are truly the best books I got for my baby.
Great quality. My baby loves it.
