The quality of the Telugu children’s books was incredible — beautiful illustrations, thoughtful transliteration, and such a lovely way to help little ones connect with their language and culture from an early age. My toddler has already started asking for the books again and again, which says everything.

What made the experience even more special was the kindness and care from Madhurima, one of the founders and author of some of the books. She personally accommodated my request to deliver the books to Australia, and even thoughtfully followed up when there was a FedEx/newsagency mix-up and I hadn’t been able to collect them for some time.

You can genuinely feel the love and intention behind the collection. These books have already created such beautiful moments for our family — including grandparents joining in on Telugu story time across generations.

Highly recommend for families wanting to nurture bilingualism, cultural connection, and a love for reading in a warm and joyful way.

I really love this. I have been looking for something like this for a while. The quality is great. The letters are light weight and easy to handle for small hands. If I could suggest, if there were letters with pictures that would also be amazing!

Being a teacher with Manabadi for years,Ican proudly say that this is the resource we are looking for. They are truly the best books I got for my baby.

So I always knew these songs growing up, but I can’t believe that I was able to find actual Telugu translations and books for my toddler and baby. It also helped me improve my Telugu pronunciation lol.

We’ve been looking for Telugu books that are easy to read for my husband and these are perfect! Great quality and awesome illustrations. My toddler son loves them!

There aren’t enough words to express how thankful we are for Bhaalu Books. The fact that our daughter can have Telugu books included on her bookshelf is a gift, as it means she’s being exposed to the language beyond simply spoken word. The books are colorful and engaging, and she chooses them again and again. The included English transliteration and translation are so appreciated, as it allows our English-speaking family to read to her, as well as pick up a few words here and there!

We can’t wait for more products! If you’re looking for ways to keep Telugu in front of your kids, you won’t be disappointed!

We bought this book as we are a family of Telugu descent growing up in the United States, and wanted to find a way to teach our daughter the language and culture of origin. She has been previously familiar with the “Chandamama Raave” nursery rhyme through Infobells YouTube videos but this a way for her to be engaged in reading. She loves flipping through the pages and seeing the beautiful, colorful pictures. I also appreciate that the book has both the Telugu script, English transliterated script, and on the last page the English translation for each line. Overall this is a wealth of usefulness in a simple design. I am sure that our daughter will love this for a long time, and looking forward to seeing more books like this!

Our 18 month old daughter absolutely loves Chitti Chilakammaa! This book has the most adorable illustrations and it’s so fun being able to incorporate Telugu in the books we read to her to keep her Indian culture part of our daily lives.
